“百年十年”系列征文啟事

2005年8月，北京電臺《人生熱線》節(jié)目的主持人蘇京平老師，給路燈下一邊聽廣播一邊吃晚飯的民工朋友們播出了一則重要消息，“北京市東城區(qū)有一所專為貧困農民工子女開辦的職業(yè)學校——百年職校正在招生，您的孩子有可能免費上學”；2014年4月，分布在中國不同城市的九所百年職校，通過微信公眾平臺向社會發(fā)出了同一個聲音，“發(fā)現(xiàn)并幫助您身邊的貧困年輕人，推薦他們入學百年職校”。
十年是光陰的轉角，十年前，民間公益少有關注、職業(yè)教育沉入谷底，中國的農民階層經(jīng)歷著城鎮(zhèn)化的變革和陣痛，教育機會的缺失擱淺了“農二代”對未來的期待和向往。此刻，百年職校將建設本土慈善品牌和職教改革典范的責任扛在肩上，通過全免費職業(yè)教育的辦學實踐給來自中國農村的貧困年輕人帶去希望。十年來，百年職校以一個民間公益機構的成長記錄下一份份感人至深的、推動社會進步的力量，如今，職業(yè)教育已走出被遺忘的角落，公益事業(yè)亦涌上時代的潮頭。
2008年，百年職校創(chuàng)始人姚莉將基于辦學經(jīng)歷寫就的報告文學作品《用夢想填平溝壑》一書“獻給與我共同經(jīng)歷這一切的朋友”。由此，百年職校的故事有了更多的朗讀者，隨著公益步伐的延伸，也有了更多的親歷者、親為者；也許是帶著扭轉命運的渴望進入這里學習，也許是胸懷服務社會的熱忱來到這里助力，這十年，每一位與百年職校結緣的人都在證明，這里能讓改變發(fā)生。
然而，百年職校究竟改變了什么？改變了近4000名貧困年輕人的生活軌跡和他們身后家庭的命運；改變了社會對職業(yè)教育的固有認知，讓老師們重拾教育工作的激情與使命、讓企業(yè)真正成為職教的參與者和受益者；改變了當前許多人的生活方式，當善良成為一種習慣，當社會義工、慈善捐款成為許多人家庭計劃的一部分，這個飛速發(fā)展的時代不僅能看到人們對大世界的渴望，還有對身邊人的關懷……
無論何時、何地、何種身份，當您成為百年職校故事的一部分，我們便在一起，用真與善一路守護，守護“將優(yōu)質職業(yè)教育帶給中國農民孩子”的這份信念，守護“用夢想填平溝壑”的這份堅持。
時值百年職校建校十周年之際，辦學十年，作為一個公益機構，回望與總結是百年職校面向所有支持者表達感激的一種方式，是百年職校回饋社會公益資源持續(xù)投入的一類責任，是百年職校牽掛每一位校友的一份心情，是百年職校期待在未來讓更多改變發(fā)生的一次積淀。為此，學校特面向各地百年職校校友、學生家長、教師、志愿者、資助者、學生實習就業(yè)單位以及所有百年職校的“有緣人”征集稿件，希望更多那些流淌在心間的、關于百年職校的真實故事與體驗能夠得到分享。
本次征文內容可以是畢業(yè)生在百年職校的學習成長經(jīng)歷或生活發(fā)展現(xiàn)狀，可以是教師的教學工作體會及教育學生的典型故事，可以是志愿者感悟百年的心情散文，可以是資助者、學生實習就業(yè)單位對于學校工作的客觀評述。概而言之，征文不限體裁、不限字數(shù)，限原創(chuàng)、限真實，截稿時間為2014年7月31日，部分優(yōu)秀征文作品將由百年職校理事會匯編文集出版。
十年同行路，與公益相伴，為夢想執(zhí)著！百年職校期待您的來稿，讓我們一起繼續(xù)講述“用夢想填平溝壑”的故事。

“BNVS 10th Anniversary” Call For Papers
The 10th year is a watershed. 10 years ago, nongovernmental philanthropy received very little attention, vocational education fell to the bottom, and Chinese farmers experienced the change and the pain of urbanization. The lack of education opportunities made “the 2nd generation of farmers” lose their hopes for the future. Right at that time, BNVS took the responsibility of building up local charity brand name and setting up a model for the restructuring of vocational education, bringing hope to the poor young people from rural China by offering them free vocational training. During the past 10 years, BNVS, as a local philanthropy organization, has recorded a large number of touching and inspiring stories which further the progress of our society. Today, vocational education has come out of the forgotten corner, philanthropy is standing in the forefront of the times.
In 2008, Mdm. Yao Li, the founder of BNVS, published a reportage “Dreams pave the way - to my friends who went through all these with me together” based on her experiences of setting up the charity vocational school. Thus BNVS got more attention from the public and attracted more witnesses and participants following the development of philanthropy. During the past 10 years, everyone who got tied to BNVS either with the desire to reverse their fate or commitment to serving the community has proved that everything is possible in BNVS.
But what in deed has BNVS changed? BNVS has changed the path of life of nearly 4,000 poor young people and the fate of their families; it has changed the inherent perception of vocational education, enabling teachers to regain their enthusiasm and mission of education and allowing enterprises to participate in and benefit from vocational education; it has also changed the life style of many people. When kindness has become a habit and volunteering and charity donation have become a part of family planning, people will not only have aspiration for the big world but also have love for the people around them in this era of rapid development.
No matter when, where and who, when you become a part of BNVS story, we are guarding, hand-in-hand, the faith of “bringing good quality vocational education to children in Chinese countryside” and the persistence of “Dreams pave the way” with our sincerity and kindness.
At the BNVS' 10th anniversary, as a non-profit organization, retrospection and summarization will be our way to express our appreciation to all the supporters. It is our obligation to repay the on-going investment from public philanthropy resources, it is BNVS’ care for every teacher and student, and it is the gestation for BNVS to look forward to more changes to happen in the future.
For these reasons, BNVS has started to collect essays from students, parents, teachers, volunteers, sponsors, employment units which offered internship and jobs to students, and all the people who have ever come across with BNVS. We sincerely hope that your moving stories and memories can be shared with more people.
The essays can be the stories of graduates who studied and grew up in BNVS and their current life and career development, or teachers’ experience in how they worked and taught students; or volunteers’ feelings about BNVS, or sponsors' and employer units' objective comments about the work of BNVS. In general, there is no restriction on the style and length, but the story must be original and true. The submission deadline is 31st of July, 2014. Some of the outstanding essays will be compiled and published by BNVS School Board.
We have been walking together for 10 years devoting to philanthropy and striving for our dreams! BNVS are very much looking forward to your essays. Let us continue to tell our stories of “Dreams pave the way”.
